Norwyn Idle: Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Norwyn Idle. By creating an account and playing, you agree to these Terms. Please read them. They are written to be plain and short, not to trick you. If you do not agree, do not create an account.

1. The game is in early alpha

Norwyn Idle is unfinished and provided "as is". It may have bugs, downtime, and placeholder content, and features can change or be removed at any time. Your character, items and progress may be reset, and the game may be paused or shut down, without notice. Play for fun, and do not treat any progress as permanent or guaranteed.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password safe. You must give a real email address so we can verify your account and help you recover it. You must be old enough to use online services where you live (at least 13, and older where local law requires). One person may hold one account (see below).

3. Fair play: the rules that matter most

Norwyn Idle has a shared economy (a market, trading, leaderboards). That only works if everyone plays honestly. Breaking any of the following can lead to temporary or permanent bans, and to the removal of items, gold or progress gained unfairly, at our sole discretion and without a refund of anything.

• No cheating or tampering. Do not modify the game, the client, or its network traffic, and do not exploit bugs. If you find a bug that gives an unfair advantage, report it on our Discord instead of using it.
• No scripting, bots or automation. Play the game yourself. Do not use scripts, macros, auto-clickers, or any tool that plays for you or automates actions.
• One account per person. No multi-accounting. Do not create or use more than one account, and do not use another person's account. Running several accounts, especially to trade with yourself, manipulate the market or leaderboards, or farm resources, is not allowed.
• Do not ruin the game for others. Any behaviour meant to reduce other players' enjoyment, such as harassment, scamming, market manipulation, or abusing exploits against others, is not allowed.
• Be civil. No harassment, hate speech, threats, or illegal content in any name, chat, or community space.

We may investigate suspected breaches and act on them, including by suspending or deleting accounts. We aim to be fair, but the final decision on enforcement is ours.

4. Virtual items have no real-world value

Gold, items, characters and any other in-game content are part of the game only. They are not your property, cannot be bought or sold for real money, and have no cash value. Trading in-game items or accounts for real money or anything outside the game is not allowed.

5. How the game was made

Generative AI was used to help create artwork and code for Norwyn Idle.

6. Your data

To run your account we store your email address and your game progress. We use your email only to verify your account, let you reset your password, and, rarely, to contact you about the game. We do not sell your data. You can delete your account at any time from the in-game Settings, which removes your character and progress.

7. Availability and liability

We provide Norwyn Idle without any warranty, and we are not liable for lost progress, lost time, downtime, or any indirect damages, to the fullest extent the law allows. The game may be unavailable at any time.

8. Ending your access

You may stop playing and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these Terms, or if we stop running the game.

9. Changes to these Terms

As the game grows, these Terms may change. The "last updated" date above will change when they do. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the new Terms.
